The role involves applying deep scientific expertise to evaluate and strengthen how next-generation AI systems understand and respond to specialized life-science topics.</p><p>No prior AI or machine learning experience is required. Training on the project workflow and evaluation process will be provided.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop expert-level prompts across specialized biology and life-science domains.</li><li>Evaluate and annotate AI-generated responses for <strong>scientific accuracy, quality, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content</strong>.</li><li>Apply structured evaluation guidelines to classify prompts, responses, and conversations.</li><li>Use scientific expertise and critical reasoning to identify inaccuracies, gaps, or potential risks in AI-generated content.</li><li>Contribute to improving the safety, reliability, and scientific accuracy of advanced AI systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>PhD in Biology or a closely related Life Sciences field — ongoing or completed.</strong></li><li>Relevant areas of expertise may include <strong>Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Virology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Synthetic Biology, Immunology</strong>, or related disciplines.</li><li>Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and/or computational techniques within your area of specialization.</li><li>Strong scientific reasoning, analytical, and technical writing skills in English.</li><li>Sound professional judgment regarding <strong>biosecurity and responsible handling of dual-use scientific information</strong>.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured evaluation guidelines.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Research or academic experience related to <strong>biosafety, biosecurity, or pathogen biology</strong>.</li><li>Experience reviewing, grading, evaluating, or red-teaming technical or scientific content.</li><li>Experience conducting interdisciplinary biological research or evaluating complex scientific information.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Competitive compensation of $65–$70/hour.</strong></li><li><strong>Part-time engagement with 15–25 hours per week</strong>, with flexibility up to 40 hours per week.</li><li>Independent contractor engagement.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><ol><li><strong>Upload Resume</strong></li><li><strong>Complete an AI Interview Based on Your Resume</strong></li><li><strong>Submit Application</strong></li></ol>
