SEO Blog Writer & Newsletter Writer for Christian / Catholic Nonprofit (Ongoing)
Five Loaves Marketing is a small digital agency serving Christian ministries and nonprofits. We’re looking for an experienced SEO writer for an ongoing role with one of our main clients, an international network of Christian covenant communities whose members are largely Catholic.
What you’ll do each month
Write 4 SEO-optimized blog posts (roughly 1,000–1,800 words each) from keyword briefs we provide
Draft the monthly email newsletter: community news, event updates and a short seasonal reflection
Write meta titles and descriptions, suggest internal links, and deliver in Google Docs, ready for us to publish
Topics you’ll cover
Christian community life, ecumenism and Christian unity, faith formation, the liturgical seasons (Advent, Lent, Easter, Pentecost), regional conferences and events, and stories of emerging Christian leaders.
Requirements
At least 3 years of SEO writing experience, with links to published posts that rank
Published work for Christian and/or Catholic audiences (parishes, dioceses, ministries, Catholic publishers or faith-based nonprofits)
Experience writing recurring email newsletters (Mailchimp a plus)
A warm, credible voice that respects readers from different Christian traditions
Discretion: you know when a topic is sensitive and should be flagged rather than written
Reliable monthly deadlines and clear communication
Nice to have
Familiarity with the charismatic renewal or intentional Christian community
Experience with Webflow or another CMS
How we work
Paid per deliverable, with a monthly rhythm of 4 posts and 1 newsletter
We start with a paid trial: one blog post and one newsletter draft
All drafts are reviewed by our team before publishing
Strong performers will be offered additional writing work across other Five Loaves Marketing clients
To apply, please include
Links to 2–3 SEO blog posts you wrote that rank on Google, with the target keyword for each
One sample written for a Christian or Catholic audience
Your rate per blog post and per newsletter
A sentence or two on your own familiarity with Christian or Catholic life
Please start your proposal with the word “Pentecost” so we know you read the full posting.
